PEACE DOVE Pendant - PRE ORDER OPENING 7TH JUNE
A dove files through the sky with an olive branch in it’s mouth. A special new design I have made with an aim to raise money to aid to the people of Palestine.
The use of an olive branch to symbolise peace has been used by many cultures including the Ancient greeks. Their goddess Eirene, the Greek goddess of peace carried an olive branch, which they believed warded off evil spirits and represented plenty.
When looking up the history of the olive tree, I also found out that it has a long history in Palestine. It can represent the steadfastness of the people in an age of uprootedness.
“In the same way that the trees can survive and have deep roots in their land so, too, do the Palestinian people.” Sliman Mansour.
HOW IT WORKS….
Your order will be made in 2 parts:
The total price to you of the pendants will be split as follows:
Part 1- Bronze pendant - 75% (£37.50) of the price will be a donation to charity (you choose and make the donation) and 25% (£12.50) will be my takings, which you will see when you order online.
Silver pendant - 50% (£32.50) of the price will be a donation to charity (you choose and make the donation) and 50% (£32.50) will be my takings, which you will see when you order online.
When you order online, you will be paying for my % of the sales only and postage.
Once the order is placed, please then make your donation for the correct amount to your charity of choice and then send me an email with an attachment of your screenshot, so I can see it has been made. Once I have proof of your donation, I will make up your order once the pre-order closes on the 16th June.
Donations must be made to charities that directly support and provide aid to Palestine. If you are not sure of who to donate to, I have many suggestions from customers on my recent Instagram post about the Peace Doves.
In the name of fairness, I can only accept and make your order when I have an emailed screenshot of proof of your donation. Orders will not be made without both an order online AND donation. Any questions do let me know!
The pre-order listing will be open for a week, from 7pm on Monday 9th June to 7pm Monday 16th June. Once the window has closed, the orders will then be put into work. They will take approx 4 weeks to make from the 16th June in bronze, and 6 weeks in silver.
Each pendant measures approx 1.7cm high x 1.3cm wide, not inc integral bail or jump ring. It is lightweight and has a 7mm outer diameter jump ring attached, which is soldered.
Each design is the same but the edges vary as they were made one by one. Each one therefore is unique to you.
Silver and 9ct gold pendants come with full UK hallmarks.
