HEDGE WITCH Linocut Postcard

£22.00

The HEDGE WITCH design is my original imagined representation of the character of the ‘Hedge Witch’, who was the inspiration for my new collection of the same name.

She is based on two of my favourite Medieval illustrations, which I merged together and re-drew, creating a lino cut artwork which I used to design the artwork. Her hair is part plant and she carries plant cuttings in her hands.

I was inspired by the traditional herb lore taught and practiced by solitairy Hedge Witches, our connection with nature and the healing power of plants.

The book ‘Hedgewitch: A Guide To Soilitairy Witchcraft’ by Rae beth was a real inspiration.

Each postcard is printed from the same original lino cut design, therefore although the design is always the same, however there will be small variations in the print. Some prints may have more detail around the main figure. It measures a standard A6 postcard size of 4 X 6”.

The print you receive will be selected at random.

It is printed on a 250 gsm cream art paper, with a very dark khaki ink.
